MY FRIDGE. Xavi M. (3r ESO C)

MY FRIDGE
This is the most part of my fridge, because I couldn’t get it all into the picture.

On the top of my fridge there are a few cheese packets, and there is also a lot of chocolate, in a some kind of plastic box; but there are also many containers of salty ham, next to a round cheese box.

Down here, there is a plastic jar of mayonnaise, a few sausage packets, and  a couple of pork loins. Near them, there are two lonely and afraid barbecue sauce canisters, which defend our fridge when it’s empty.
Below them, there are – I think- too many Coca Cola cans, and also there is a champagne bottle, two yoghourts and a jar full of gherkins.

Even downer, there is much free gluten food, and next to it, there’s a prepared salad, those which you only have to add salt, pepper or whatever you want before you eat them.

Under them, there are a lot of tomatoes, and a packet of free gluten bread.

In the right side of the fridge, which actually is the door, there are many plastic bottles and, up them there is a ketchup bottle, a mayonnaise bottle and an Aftersun spray bottle.

Up there, there is a Schweppes can, a couple of cream cartons, and up them, there are many bottles of some kind of Actimel, a couple of glass bottles and, as must be in this fridge, more cans of Coca Cola!!

I'M GREEN Sandra G. (1r batx B)

I’M GREEN

Hi everyone, I’m going to talk about the things that I can do to have a better world.

Well, I think that recycling is very important for our planet because if we don’t recycle, our planet won’t be cleaned and beautiful. It’s easy to help make a better world without rubbish. We can do many things to contribute in it.
First, we can begin with paper. Probably, there are a lot of people that have much paper that can be reused. This people can use it for other compositions or texts.

We can carry things like glass bottles, cardboards, tetra-bricks… to the containers. The only thing that is necessary to know is the colors of all of bins. In yellow bin we throw away plastics; in blue bin we throw away cardboards; in blue bin we throw away glass; and finally in brown bin we throw away organic food.

We can do other things to recycle too. We can go to the dump to throw away big things like appliances, or we can go to the nearest green point of our city.
At home, we can turn off the lights and don’t waste water. We can have a shower without much water. If we did it, we will save our money and the environment too.

In fact, I think that we will save the planet and the environment if we didn’t pollute. It’s very easy!

USA EXCHANGE 13-14 Maria B. (1r batx B)

MY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IN THE US

Absolutely yes, it was a wonderful experience in the US! Even if it hasn’t been my first time in the States, I think it’s been the most exciting one!

When we first met our partners, at the airport, no one thought that we were going to get on well that much! We were very happy to be there and the American guys were also happy that we were with them. The next day, we made a barbecue in one of the girl’s house. It was just awesome, we met everybody there and we created a chat group so everybody could talk and make plans; and that was a great idea because the third day we seemed a family! If someone reads the first days conversations it looks like we have been friends for many years!

We hung out like every afternoon, we tried to do all the activities together, and we did it! Almost everyone came to the organized plans.

It has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my entire life! The fact of meeting new people my same age, doing everything with them, laughing for everything and feeling like at home has been amazing! I feel really lucky and I’d like everyone to live that experience, even for a short time, because two weeks is nothing! Nobody wanted to leave because we all were having a wonderful time.

More than the monuments or the museums that we’ve visited, the places we’ve gone, or the activities that we’ve done, it’s all about the people that we’ve met and the friendship that has been started.
Hope that after they leave on January I can visit them this summer! I think everybody in this exchange wants to go on with this friendship.

MY PERFECT EXPERIENCE IN USA

I traveled to the United States of America, precisely, Maryland. I did an exchange with another American students and it was so great. Now, I’m in Barcelona but the 13th January, they are going to visit us. I spent two weeks there and I think that it was my best experience of my life.

When I arrived at the airport, I was so anxiously to know and meet my exchange partner, Katie. At first we were a little bit shy but then, more or less two days after, we seemed like two twins. We have now a perfect relationship and we called to us: perfect twin. We talk everyday by WhatsApp and we are missing each other a lot. I have a perfect relationship with the other American; this is why some of us would to return this summer. And very important too, the parents (John and Mary) said me the last day that I’m her new daughter and my family and I can visit them when we can and want.

I like so much Maryland and the other cities we visted near it. The best day in my opinion was the trip to New York City, it’s a paradise and I want to be there another time in summer. We spent a perfect day, very tired but genial. And the best moment there was walking around the Times Square and then the dinner in a music restaurant on the square.

Finally, I want to explain you one of the best moments too. The last moments together in USA; in the airport. We were all there, except one or two families, but it was sufficient. We were talking and somebody was crying when Conxita said: Go, guys, we leave have to leave them. Just in this moment, all started to cry (except boys because they are so strong…). We were hugging all the time, I have to say bye to my new family and my parents started to cry too, I was so emotive. We were leaving them when they started to run in our way, we left our suitcases in the floor and did the last hug.

I explain you only a little bit of experiences, moments and feelings because if you want to know all, I need more than a week. And I don’t know if I can because it’s experience full of news feelings and I don’t have words to describe it. IT WAS INCREDIBLE AND PERFECT.

And here you have some pictures of our stay there. Enjoy them!

TRAVEL TO MARYLAND

We arrived the 29th in the afternoon at Washington airport after nearly nine hours of travel, it wasn't too heavy at all because we were talking and playing all the time (thing that other travelers didn't like it and got a bit angry).

There, I met my incredible exchange student Rachel, we chatted a bit before the travel so I reconized her easily.

Then the two weeks have gone really fast, we went to school and made some classes with them, we visited NY, Washington, Annapolis, Georgetown... and of course, LOTS OF MALLS!!!

Going to this exchange has been one of the best experience of my life, I've met new people, made friends that are going to be forever and I've improved my English too.

The best part is that this experience isn't finished, because Americans are going to be here, in Spain, and this will be unforgettable.

I'M GREEN! Anna M. (1r batx B)

I’m green!

I consider myself a recycler because in my house I have different recipients to throw away trash: one for plastic, one for glass and one for cardboard.

I’m a recycler because whenever I need it I can go to the supermarket to throw the batteries in the battery special containers and I separate my trash in different types of containers: blue (cardboard), green (glass) and yellow (plastic). Every time I have a shower and don’t need water because I’m pouring gel all over my body, I close it. I try to use sunlight instead of turning on the light house, saving a lot and spending less.

The truth is that my family and I weren’t recyclers, but we heard “rumors” about pollution and the poor state that had the planet because of the dirt. Was the cause that made us change your mind and the whole family begun to recycle. At first we had no idea what we had to do but since then we realized that there are many places to take your television or your old clothes.

Now all my family recycles and tries to make the word in better condition that it was before. We also try to not be as much pollution and with the help of all I think it will be possible.

MY FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME. Joan O. (3r ESO C)

MY FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME

My favourite TV programme is “La partida de tv3”. It’s like a game show because you have to complete exercises to win points. It’s funny and you can watch it with all your family. The show starts with 3 couples of people competing. They make two rounds of exercises and then, the couple who has less points must go out of the programme. This couple is eliminated. The other couples keep playing the show.

There are two types of exercises: the normal and the nightmare exercises. The nightmare exercises give you double of points because they are more difficult than the others. Into these two groups there are miming, drawing, forbidden words and singing:

  • ·       The mime consists of one person of the group moves his body without saying words and the other person of the couple has to guess what object, action or person is he reproducing. In the nightmare exercise you have to make the same but maybe with an enormous costume or hanging from the ceiling.
  • ·       The draw consists of one person of the group has to draw an object, a person or an action without drawing letters or numbers or speaking. If it is a nightmare exercise, maybe you have to draw with an enormous pencil or without looking what are you drawing.
  • ·       The forbidden word consists of one person of the group has to describe an object, a person or an action without saying this word or derivate words from it. In the nightmare exercise you have to do the same but maybe cycling a bike or singing a song at the same time.
  • ·       The sing consists of one person of the group has to hum a song and the other has to guess what is the song. In the nightmare exercise you have to do the same but maybe dancing with a professional group or under a shower.

In the programme there is a part when a scientist appears who makes really interesting experiments that you can make at home. Then the participants make an exercise related with the experiment.

At the end of the programme the pair who obtained more points wins. The winners can fulfil their dream

MY FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME. Rebeca A. (3r ESO C)

MY FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME – EL HORMIGUERO

One of my favourite TV programmes is El Hormiguero3.0., a famous comedy and talk show presented by Pablo Motos.

At the beginning of the programme, Pablo Motos interviews a famous person (model, celebrity, writer, singer, actor...) then, they do some games, experiments, magic shows... with guests like Anna Simón who does “cuki things”, Marron who does experiments, Mario Vaquerizo who does English classes, Vaquero who tells some jokes...

I really like the programme because it’s very entertaining and funny and I like because sometimes there come famous people from around the world.
