THE DAY I MET HANNA. Pol S., Alex M. and Miquel P. (3r ESO A)

The day we met ….Hanna Bond !

Today we have met Hanna, an Oxted exchange girl very nice and friendly. She is 14 and has a brother. Also, she plays hockey reads books and loves pasta and Italian food.

In her stay in Barcelona  she visited old city and the monuments and she liked it a lot ( personally she thinks that the old city is awesome and really beautiful) .

In Oxted she doesn’t have much time to watch TV, etc but in her free time goes out or plays hockey. she often goes to London but only in exceptional occasions. Also she plays netball  and sometimes she goes running with her friends .

Here in the exchange her best friend is Hannah and also says that Spanish people are really, really friendly ! .

In the school she learns  Spanish and they also study Religion, but Hanna’s favorite subject is…. Math! .  She doesn’t go to the cinema because she doesn’t have much time. In Oxted they also study religion and Hannah don’t believe too much in religion.

Also she really loves Harry Potter Saga ( as same as Pol ) and one of his favorite singers is Taylor Swift.

Finally she told us that she will miss us and that in summer would like to come to Barcelona with the family ! See you on summer Hanna, we will miss you too

The name of her school is not the most creative because it is Oxted School. We asked her about if she likes Barcelona and she answered that yes. And the last question was what she thinks about our school. She thinks that it’s nice but quite small compared with theirs.

OXTED EXCHANGE. Marta C. (3r ESO A)

It was a great experience for us because we could learn English costumes and how English people are.

People with uniform for us is weird I think this school uniform is better than others that I've seen. On Friday I wore the school uniform because I liked do the normal things that the English teenagers do.

In the school people are very friendly but in the break time a lot of English students spoke with us.

Oxted School is very different from our school because you can try a lot of optionals and people change the class every hour and in our school we don't change the class every hour.

My family were so nice with me because I ate typical food and they have very good manners in the family, I have felt one of the members.

I prefer the English villages than London because the villages have great landscape with a lot of forest.

I would like to live in Oxted it's so nice and it has beautiful houses, on Sunday I went  with my English friends and some Spanish people to a park, I have felt like in a paradise it has got a lot of land and we were playing like a kids.

In London we got stressed  because it is noisy and we didn't have much time but it was cool.

In fact I would like to repeat it because it was a great experience for me.

THE DAY I MET ALYS!

Alys is a girl from England who came for the exchange we did last month. She was born 1st September of 1998, so she is 15 years old. She plays netball, a famous game in London that its similar at basket but it isn’t the same.

She loves playing sports like hockey or tennis and she really loves shopping. She lives in Oxted so for going shopping she has to go by car to a shopping centre 30 minutes from her house.

Her favourite foods are chocolate and strawberries, and she really likes the film “Hot Fuzz” and the soap opera “Hollyoaks”. She has two dogs really cute. She speaks really well Spanish and she understood the entire things we said.

She is a cheerleader and she loves to be it. The thing she likes the most of Barcelona is that here we have the beach like in the city but there in London they don’t so she really enjoyed that.

This July she will go to a place to help people. She has been like in the entire world because she has travelled to Australia, Canada (for skiing), Singapore, America, Italy, Paris, Greece and a lot of places that she can’t remember the name.

THE DAY WE MET CATHERINE Éric F., Maria N. and Pol D. (3r ESO A)

THE DAY WE MET CATHERINE LEDESMA

Some days ago we could talk to a girl from Oxted school who is Catherine. She was born on 20th January and she is 15 years old. She doesn’t have brothers or sisters, she has two cats and her favourite food is pizza. Her favourite subject is PE and she plays hockey on an astroturf, tennis, basketball and other sports and she is a fan of Manchester City.

Talking about Barcelona she has visited Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell and other places, but what she has enjoyed more is the Sitges’ beach. Then, she prefers Barça than Madrid, and she also prefers BCN’s weather than the England one. She explained that in Oxted she has dinner at 20:00h, goes to bed at 22:30 and wakes up at 7:30h, so there’s a difference between our city. There they have 12 subjects and of the all foreign languages they just learn Spanish. Their classes and houses are bigger than ours. When the people do something bad the teacher sends them out of the class. She recognized that British people are more serious than us.

After that she talked about what she liked and she said that she loved Starbucks, she buys her clothes in H&M, TopGear is her favourite TV show, she likes cupcakes, the kind of music she enjoys listening is pop, etc.
She’s visited Australia, America, Malaysia, Málaga during all her holidays, and she’s been to a lot of places because her father travels a lot who is a man similar as a teacher of university.

With her friends she said that they had done a lot of birthday parties in their respective houses.

When she grows up she wants to be a football coach.

Finally we said goodbye to each other. It’s true that we didn’t pass much time with Catherine, but we could know a lot of her personality and the most important was the we became very good friends.

Hannah Belok

This week we've met Hannah Belok. She is a girl from Oxted, a really beautiful city. She was born on 19th June of 1999. Now she is 14 years old. Her favourite colour is purple. She enjoys playing hockey, tennis, cricket and netball. She likes eating pasta and pizza, but she doesn’t like fish, ham or “fuet”. She is listening to music all time, especially alternative rock. In a normal weekend she plays tennis, a hockey match, watches TV, does her homework and goes out with friends. We think it’s a good way to pass the time.

Hannah would like to have a pet. In the past she had a hamster, but now she wants a small dog. With the big garden that she has at home, having a dog would not be a problem, but her parents don’t want it because dogs need a lot of attention.

Hannah’s best friend is Bond….Hannah Bond, who is not the daughter of James Bond!

She loves our school, but she prefers Oxted’s school. There she studies a lot of subjects but she really likes art, English and maths.

In this stay she has visited a lot of monuments. She thinks that La Sagrada Familia is Impressive, spectacular but a little bit boring, but she is having a great time in Barcelona.

Finally, this is the most important point for some people. She doesn’t have a boyfriend! If you want to contact her you could search for her Facebook. She also has got a mobile phone. It’s a Blackberry but for her birthday she will have an iPhone.
